Course information:
The caterpillar stitch has become one of the most intriguing of all the exposed sewing techniques. The sewing pattern which travels across the spine, begins on the cover with the antennae and head of the caterpillar and continues across the folds, sewing the signatures as you proceed onto the back cover.

Techniques will we cover:
In this course you will sew three “caterpillars” onto hardcover books with multiple signatures. Sewing experience is essential for this class.

By the end of this course you should be able to:
- make decorative sewing a part of your binding expression
- add visual drama to your one-of-a-kind books by incorporating the actual sewing of a book as part of its decoration.
