Course Information:
This is leather wrap, non-adhesive book, a sturdy journal made using thick, rugged cow leather with pages that have been folded and cut with a paper knife, leaving a soft deckle along each edge. The signatures are hand sewn into the leather in an exposed X design.

Techniques will we cover:
This is an ancient bookbinding method which involves sewing directly through the leather covering material. The book will be finished with a variety of metal clasps.

By the end of this course you should be able to:
• Measure and sew decorative stitching onto leather
• Attach metal clasps
