Course information:
Taking boxmaking beyond the basics, we will construct a box structure based on a traditional design with book boards and decorative papers.

Techniques will we cover:
Precision measurement and board cutting will be covered. This workshop Includes cutting, gluing and constructing a cardboard box, working out the cuts for the Italian decorative paper and then gluing the paper and covering the box.

By the end of this course you should be able to:
- learn to make sturdy and diverse shaped and styled boxes that look great and can be used for anything from gift boxes to desk sets to storage chests
- employ the techniques to other, larger boxes and styles
