BIG DRAW!




At the OWL & LION FOR OCTOBER we are joining in The Big Draw with a series of Events and Workshops, below we have the schedule:

Event One:
Description:Drawing with Artist Maki Hamada
- Maki practices intricate line drawings on canvas, using a selection of fine pens and small collage materials, work with Maki to create your own canvas of a forest scene.
Session :
11am - 5pm
Audience:All ages
Date/Time: 12 October and 26th October
Event: £3 Donations

Event Two:
Description: Edinburgh City Forest
- Darts shall be thrown at a giant map of Edinburgh City centre. We shall draw line connecting the dots. You will then be lead by an artists to ‘travel the lines’ and draw what you find at the dots. A very exciting way of discovering Edinburgh.
Session :
10am - 11.30am,
12pm - 1.30pm
2pm - 3.30pm
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Date/Time:Every Sunday in October
Event: £5 bring your own sketchbook and drawing materials

Event Three:
Description: Come and make BIG BIG drawings of the best view in Edinburgh, looking out from the Gallery's big glass window. Using artist Isabelle's favourite materials of wash, charcoal, oil sticks and inks, be prepared to create something BIG! If the weather is good, we shall draw in Grassmarket Square.
Session :
10am - 11am (ages 6-8),
11.30pm - 1pm (ages 9 -11),
2 -3.30pm (ages 12 - 16),
4 - 5.30pm (adults).
Audience:All ages

We also have a whole range of drop in activities. Draw your own pet rock and badge making for children. All held in Grassmarket Square in Front of The Lot Cafe
